About this place
Inside the Super Dry Hall along the Sumida River, Flamme d'or puts precision-poured draught beer at the heart of the experience. Alongside signature Asahi Super Dry, the hall serves Pilsner Urquell in classic Czech pour styles with differing ratios of beer and foam—from the standard Hladinka and the smaller, foam-rich Šnyt to the Mlíko, where the glass is filled almost entirely with creamy froth. House shandy gaffs and black shandies are also on hand, making it easy to contrast textures from one round to the next.
Substantial meat dishes match the beer-hall setting naturally. The six-variety sausage platter gathers chorizo, Siberian onion (gyoja ninniku), basil, coarse-ground pork, frankfurter, and cheese onto a single plate for easy side-by-side tasting. Fried dishes and hot appetisers lean into robust seasonings that keep drinks moving, from juicy chicken karaage marinated in a secret house sauce to spicy German fried potatoes and piping-hot fish and chips.
For a full-scale meal, the kitchen turns out main plates like spare ribs marinated in Super Dry and aromatic spices, as well as cut beef steak. Half-size pizzas and roast beef salads help round out the table without overcommitting. Diners can finish with beef garlic rice or classic ketchup-based Neapolitan spaghetti, followed by a rich, silky pudding dressed in caramel sauce brewed with dark beer—options that work just as well for lunch or an alcohol-free visit.
With its muted interior tones and spacious dining floor, Flamme d'or makes an easy stop for group toasts after exploring Asakusa and the Azumabashi riverside.
